The Woolpack

The hotel was warm and welcoming and the bedrooms were large and very comfortable. Unfortunately during our stay last week, one of our party became quite unwell resulting in an ambulance being called and a stay hospital needed. The care, consideration and kindness shown to us all from the manager and his team, including some of the locals, was outstanding. We could not have been better looked after and will certainly go back when we have the opportunity. A very big thank to to all involved.

Have just returned from staying at the Woolly and have nothing but praise for every aspect of the hotel. The bedroom was immaculately clean, cosy and charming, the bed was so comfortable you just melted into it. Our dinner was tasty and beautifully presented as was our cooked breakfast. Our hosts all went out of their way to make us welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Altogether a wonderful break in perfect surroundings. Many, many thanks.

Great lively pub with a healthy mixture of age groups. Have been a few times over the years when in the area and the staff are always professional and friendly. A good place to pop into after some high street shopping for a drink or a snack in the day with a newspaper or a glass or pint of an evening. Always feel comfortable & welcome here alone or with friends.

The best service we've had in recent times. We ate in the pub/restaurant. Really friendly and accommodating, which was important as a group of 8 with two young children. The food and drink were also excellent. I would highly recommend and we are hoping to stay in the hotel at some point!
