Snuggled in to the cove and opening out onto the beach towards Torquay, the Beach Huts at Corbyn Head on the south side of the bay are far enough from the main drag to make you feel like you’re on your very own beach and close enough that you can see the bright lights of the harbour attractions.

As you wander along the seafront footpath, you’ll see the huge green spaces of Kings Gardens over the main road to the left and the clear open bay to the right until you walk straight into the high street where you are spoilt for choice for things to do on a traditional UK holiday. Visiting Torre Abbey Museum, whiling the hours away at an amusement arcade, playing crazy golf, indulging at any of the restaurants, cafes or bars, taking a ride on the famous ferris wheel or simply people watching here provides endless hours of entertainment.

The beach huts stand proudly on wooden frame platforms and on a purpose built concrete stage due to the high tidal waters.

The tide rises close to the doorstep and flows out again to create your own sandy beach which provides the perfect setting for bird watching and wildlife. For those that enjoy bird watching there’s a friendly mix of seagulls, blackheaded gulls and crows all feeding, washing and socialising in the clean fresh waters of the exposed rock pools on lower tides.
