The hut is set on the beaufitul Island of Mersea, of the Essex coast. It has one road on and off. The Island is temporarilly cut off from the mainland, when the tide is high, usually for about an hour. Check tide times before travelling.
The Island is famous for its Oysters and Crabs and has some great restaurants, selling it locally caught fish.
The beaches are dog friendly all year round and at high season dogs must be kept on the lead.
There are sererval car parks on Victoria Esplanade and the post code for this is CO5 8BX. Parking app £6 per day and from October to March you can park on the road for free.
A short walk from the hut is the Two Sugars Cafe. You will find a childrens playground right next to it and the toilets are opposite.
The hut itself offers privacy, and everything you need for a great day out. If you want to relax, take a rest on the day bed without prying eyes, sit and read in peace, this is the hut for you. There is grassland to the side of the hut too.
Please note this beach hut is freehold, there are no yearly council fees to pay which I beleive is something in the region of £450.00 per year on leasehold. This is rare opportunity to buy on the Spinney as its called, all the huts in the Spinney area are Freehold huts. The hut is two years old, flooring and walls are insulated.
