Appley beach hut (NO. 7)

Situated on the north east coast of the island, offering miles of sandy shores and spectacular views across the Solent to Portsmouth with the land mark Spinnaker tower. The beach hut is located near the Appley tower which dates back to the 1880`s. There is a long promenade that stretches from Ryde pier (the 4th longest pier in the U.K. as well as the oldest) with a catamaran service, to Portsmouth and a hovercraft service to Southsea, a bus station for ease of access to the Island and even its own marina. A little way up the hill from Ryde pier is Ryde town, the largest town on the Island offering numerous restaurants,bars and shops. Ryde beach has numerous access points from the promenade, offering something for all ages, from relaxation to the more adventurous who enjoy water sports. There is even a boating lake and a bowls club. There is also a cafe/restaurant located near to the beach hut offering excellent food and drinks and occasionally local entertainment.
