PLEASE NOTE THIS BEACH HUT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 BECAUSE OF THE MEZZANINE

A beach hut on Mudeford Spit offers a unique coastal retreat in one of the most picturesque spots on the south coast of England. Nestled between Christchurch Harbour and the open waters of the English Channel, these charming huts provide an ideal escape for those seeking tranquility and stunning natural beauty.

Mudeford Spit, with its sandy shores and panoramic views, is renowned for its peaceful atmosphere and proximity to the New Forest. The beach huts are simple but cosy, many equipped with modern conveniences like solar-powered electricity, small kitchens and fold-out beds. Though the huts lack running water and bathrooms (public facilities are nearby), their rustic appeal lies in their simplicity and the connection to nature they provide.

From the doorstep, you can step onto the beach and enjoy a day of swimming, paddleboarding, or just lounging by the water’s edge. At dusk, the sunsets over Christchurch Harbour create a magical ambience, perfect for evening barbecues or quiet contemplation.

Accessibility is limited (see 'How to access the hut') making Mudeford Spit’s beach huts a secluded retreat highly sought after by those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Duvets and pillows are provided for you to use. Please bring your own bed linen or sleeping bags and your own towels.  The hut is professionally cleaned each month and operates a ‘self clean on leaving policy’, so guests asked to clean the hut when they leave to the standard that they would like to find it in.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The beach hut is "Off Grid". There is a water tank under the hut that is to be filled using containers and the nearby standpipes to fill them up. The water is pumped from the tank to the sink in the kitchen which is hot and cold. It is recommended that the water from the tank is only used for washing up and cleaning. A separate jug is provided to get drinking water from the standpipes. There are two standpipes located 15 metres from the hut.

**Water's Edge does not have a bathroom**.
Toilet Block: 100m walk from The Hut.
Shower Block: 200m walk from The Hut.
