Overview

A colourful beach hut on the magnificent Wells Beach, with double doors that open onto a veranda with great views.  Inside there is bench seating with lots of facilities (see below).

The hut is in the dog-friendly section of the beach, however no dogs in the hut, please. You can easily attach its lead to the bottom of the steps (there's a shade under the steps/hut) if it is prone to wandering!  The steps up to the hut are shown in the photos, please consider if you are bringing anyone elderly or disabled.

Please note the following are not permitted: overnight stays, fires, BBQs, use of candles and smoking within or the area around the huts, loud noise or disturbance to neighbouring huts.

We would recommend using beach huts and enjoyed the overall experience! It was fab to have a base and chairs/windbreakers etc. The only downside we found was when one of our children cut their foot we went to see if there was anything antiseptic in the huts supplied first aid kit however everything was out of date by about 10 years which we were pretty appalled by. The cups all needed cleaning to be used as you can imagine they were very sandy and not sure if they are checked between visitors

Email told us everything we needed to know, easy to get to and made our day so much simpler. As it is November was lovely having a base if we needed shelter and we could make our own hot drinks!

KatherineB

Pretty beach hut. All you need to bring is yourselves and some food, although the cafe is a short walk. The kids buckets and spades were a bonus. Really enjoyed our day, hope to book again.

CourtneyS

Lovely beach hut- well kitted out and in great position on dog friendly beach! Perfect for bacon sandwiches on Christmas morning!

Really easy to book. Everything we needed. Great tip to bring own water as went out of season. Thank you

NicolaS

A fantastically priced find which made our rather windy day at the beach rather wonderful. Thankyou

PenelopeC

Everything was great, lots of extra items that would be useful. Will book again.

Arrival information & directions

Address: On the beach!, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, Wells BeachUnited Kingdom

The hut is located roughly in the middle of the row of huts, approximately a 10-15 minutes walk from the car park.

The code for the key safe box will be texted and emailed to you at 08.30 am on the day of your arrival. The key safe is on the right hand side of the hut ( or a back up safe on the leg underneath but this is stiff and needs replacing)

Your options for parking are to:

  1. use the beach car park (pay and display).  Get there early, before 10am on busy days, as the car park does fill up (otherwise you will be directed to the overspill car park on freeman street).  The hut is nearest the far end of the car park (furthest from the Cafe).  Then walk up the wooden steps over the dunes and through the pine trees, down the other side, turn left, and no.110 is about 200 yards ahead.  About 10 minutes walk from the car park.  Or if you don't want steps you can park at the cafe end and walk around, which might take 15-20 minutes in total.
  2. park in Wells town and walk down- 1 mile from the quay to the beach carpark. or in season there is an open top bus that's runs from the football pitch to the beach car park.

Remember to bring:

- a tea towel for washing up.

- a bag for taking your rubbish with you.

- water for drinking and washing up from 1st October to 30th March (the taps at hut 41and 138  are turned off in the winter but the tap in the car park is left working).
