Overview

The Cabin is a newly renovated, family owned, front line beach hut on West Mersea beach.

There is free parking available behind the hut, and it is a 2 minute walk to the cafe (arguably best chips ever!), little beach shop & toilets. The bar/ restaurant and play area is less than 5 mins walk.

 


Check in: 09:30 (9:30am) - 10:00 (10:00am) (arrivals may be allowed outside this window if your travel plans can't be adjusted however this is subject to availability)

Never booked a beach hut before and wow did it blow me away. The set up the host did was amazing. We had two little kids with us, and they had the BESR day. SO many toys supplied, the little pop up tent, and it was unreal. Lots of seats for adults, we had two dogs with us too. Water bowls and water supplied. Thank you for being a great host. Definitely would book again

Outstanding beach hut with everything you could possibly need. Lots of thoughtful little extras like tea, coffee etc. a play kitchen and books for the children inside and a little tent, buckets and spades outside. Could do with some more knives but that’s all. Would definitely recommend and already planning to go again next summer!

Facilities information

The water tap is 2 huts away but there is plenty water before you arrive in under sink container (for washing up) and 5 litre drink dispenser with tap. 

Seating for 8 people outside- deckchairs and outdoor sofas with extra cushions (and blankets if chilly evening) and indoor seating day bed for a nap. 

Children's toys, buckets/spades, books, plastic cups, bowls, plates and little beach tent. 

Windbreaker and parasol for shade. 

Free tea, coffee, sugar, green tea, filter coffee and hot chocolate. 

Lots of mugs, glasses, beer & of course wine glasses!

Teapot and filter coffee press.

Little oven and 2 ring gas hob, frying pans (for morning bacon rolls!) saucepans, plates, cutlery, corkscrew etc. 

Solar phone charger 

Dog bowls for water/ food. 

Bin, sweeper and washing up/ cleaning products all provided.

What is not included: Fresh Milk, food and please note there is no electricity to the hut.

Colchester train station is the nearest mainline station.

The hut is based on West Mersea Holiday Park which is at the bottom of Seaview Avenue, Mersea. Turn left into the park itself and you will be met there and shown where to park.
