Facilities information

Eating outside back and front. Use of picnic tables and barbecue. Loos/showers approximately 100 yards away. Four-ring gas cooker, oven and grill plus electric fridge and lighting with solar power. Phone charger/usb port. Kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery, etc provided. Two doubles downstairs, double and single upstairs. Four pillows and one double and one single duvet provided - bring your own linen and towels. Minimum booking two nights/days except August when it is a full week.

  • 1.5 miles Christchurch train station. 
  • 2 miles Bournemouth airport.
  • Access the hut via ferry from Christchurch or Mudeford Quay or via a land train from Hungry Hiker cafe at Hengistbury Head. If you have a lot of luggage, there is a Land Rover with trailer facility near the cafe (book in advance via the Hengistbury Head visitor centre).
  • The hut is between the first two toilet blocks facing the harbour (blocks one and two).
  • Arrive midday, depart 10.00 am
