Overview

Delilah is in the perfect position along the promenade. She is set back slightly, making it a great spot for people-watching, but with a surprise open space in the row below - meaning you have views of the beach and lapping waves. She has her own veranda for you to relax and enjoy the views, with a table and chairs provided. Cutlery and crockery can be found in the hut. Also included are buckets and spades for the little ones ! Very close by is May's Cafe to buy drinks, ice-creams and hot food. Delilah can cater for up to 6 guests.

Please note; Tendring Council has introduced strict rules regarding the number of guests in each hut. If these numbers are exceeded, the licence can be taken away. Please do not exceed 6 guests (this includes children). Thank you for understanding!

Lovely beach hut with an excellent location near a tap and the coffee shop. One row back from the front which gives more privacy and a super decked area to sit out on. Near the end of the row so nobody walks past. Wonderful view of the beach too. We'll definitely book again.

We hade a fantastic day in delilah it is a very nice and well equipped beach hut. The position gives great sea views and is well positioned for all amenities. Everything we needed was supplied and would recommend it to anyone.

We loved Delilah!! The perfect location, love the fact that it's slightly set back from promenade. The views are amazing and the little terrace is an added bonus.

Facilities information

What's provided: Tea bags, coffee and sugar. Mugs and cups. Tumblers and wine glasses. Plates and bowls.Cutlery. Gas stove and kettle. Washing up bowl with fairy liquid. Buckets and spades. Water Carrier to fill from the tap (located Just a few steps down from the hut. You will pass it as you arrive and walk up the stairs). Sunchairs for you and your guests. 2 x small tables. Parasol and water base. 

What you will need to bring: tea towels, dish cloth or sponge, bin bags and milk for tea and coffee. You may want to bring a blanket if it’s chilly. There are limited large bowls/containers to serve food so you may want to bring your own. Toilet roll!!! You may want to bring your own toilet paper for the public toilets in case they run out, which does sometimes happen.

Remember your beach towels and suntan lotion! It gets deceptively hot along the prom, even with the sea breeze! Trust me, you don't want to get caught out and go home pink!

No pets are allowed under any circumstances in Delilah.

Smoking is NOT permitted in or outside the beach huts or on the decking area.
 

Please note : The use of barbeques in or around the beach huts and the decking area is NOT allowed. The beach huts are wooden and are flammable.

Please also only use the gas stove to boil the kettle. Cooking of food is not permitted tin the beach hut. The beach huts are wooden and are flammable.

The beach huts are accessible from 9.00am – 10.30am (arrivals and departures outside of these times may be available on request - at least 48hrs notice). If you have booked consecutive days you can stay until 8.00pm – apart from your last day which will be 6.00pm

Parking: There are two car parks about 8 minutes from the beach huts (The Station Car Park, Walton on the Naze CO14 8LZ and Church Road Car Park 5 Agar Road, Walton on the Naze CO14 8DJ). You can also park along the residential streets nearby.

Finding Delilah: When you come out of the car park – walk towards the sea and you’ll see a sign saying ‘The Beach’ Turn down this road and then turn into Southcliff. As you walk, you’ll see a green metal fence/railing. At the end of the fence/railing you’ll see some steps. Walk down the steps and you’ll get to the promenade. Turn Right, walk all the way along the promenade, past May’s Café.

Carry on past 11 huts when you will come to steps leading up to Delilah. She is 2nd Row and No 41C.

If you have mobility problems or a trolly, you may prefer to get dropped off by the pier. You can then walk along the promenade until you reach the steps leading up to Delilah (about 11 huts past May’s Café. This is flatter with less steps.
