Hut 252 is situated on the exclusive Mudeford Spit. Beautiful harbour views and stunning sunsets over the Priory can be seen from the front veranda with a back drop of the Solent and ‘Needles’ to the rear.
stunning new hut overlooks ‘Holloways dock’, a lagoon used to load ironstone excavated from the Head in the 1850’s but is now a haven for wading birds which can be watched from the comfort of beach hut veranda. Hengistbury, the harbour and the lowland marshes of Stanpit have been designated a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’ (SSSI) which is home to a huge variety of migrating bird species and mammals.
The hut is reachable by either foot or for a small fee by land train or ferry from Mudeford Quay. There are various parking options which will inform you of prior to your visit.
The hut sleeps 5 and has a gas cooker (x4 hob, grill and oven) and12v fridge/freezer. The hut is beautifully lit, all lights are powered by solar energy where you can also charge your phone/tablets via a USB port. Running water is just a few steps away along with the toilets & showers.
There are plenty of books and board games for old fashioned fun in the evenings. A radio, BBQ, kayaks, sun loungers, binoculars, buckets & spades are all there for you to use.
have lovely neighbours who also enjoy the tranquillity of the Spit but please be considerate as they are only a few feet away although handy if you run out of sugar….
Pets are not permitted in the hut. No stag or Hen partys.
Hut 252 is situated in a very family friendly part of the beach with great neighbours.
