NOTE: Mudeford Ferry is currently out of service and therefore the only way to access the beach is either with your own boat (if you have one) or via Hengistbury Head; either on foot, the land train or the Land Rover Service. The ferry is expected to be back up and running by the end of June but this is not confirmed.
Welcome to Hut 62 beach hut. The hut is a traditional style single storey beach hut on the sought-after Mudeford Spit with views of the harbour looking out to the Christchurch Priory and all the goings-on during the day. The picnic table at the rear is perfect for morning coffee and croissants or a family lunch alongside a sandy area for the children to build sandcastles whilst parents relax in deckchairs. Enjoy watching the sunset from the deck in the evening.
Located close to the shop and Beach House cafe/restaurant and a short walk from the Ferry jetty (ferries to/from Mudeford Quay and Christchurch).
Sleeps 5 - sofa pulls out to a double bed and fixed triple bunk beds. The bottom bunk bed has a detachable cot side so suitable for babies/toddlers. Middle and top bunk are full-length. Solar panel powers the fridge and lights. Gas stove. Approx 25m to main block toilets and showers - close enough when needed but far enough away not to feel too close.
The hut owner provides duvets/pillows but you are required to bring your own duvet cases and pillowcases and towels. Very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. BBQ available (bring your own charcoal). Use of the owner's family Ocean Kayak (Malibu 2XL) with trolley for ease of use getting to/from the shore. The owner provides a padlock and chain to keep it secure on the beach. Buckets, spades and board games available for sunny and rainy days alike. Land Rover service can be booked in advance to transport you to/from the Hut with all your luggage.
