Available for hire! Fruit 'n' hut is fully equipped with everything you need for a day at the beach. Tea, coffee, biscuits, condiments, pots, pans, crockery, deck chairs, indoor seating, swingball, beach toys and more!!! The decking area in front of the hut is a suntrap for the vast majority of the day making it an ideal place to sit back, relax, and watch the day pass by. Convenient parking at the station car park. Toilets and taps nearby.

The hut was perfect, just right to give us a place to leave our belongings while we swam and to get changed and gave a cuppa afterwards. A good amount of chairs and cups, plates etc which is great when there’s 6 of us. The only downside was the £7.80 booking fee on the website, hence I knocked off one star.

Loved our day at Fruit and Hut! It was the perfect location for us, being a quiet family wanting a peaceful day away from the crowds. It's in a brilliant location near the loos (not too close!) and a tap. The packs of biscuits left for us were a nice, welcome touch! I'll definitely be booking again.

Fantastic beach hut. Steer clear of the toilets nearby, they are grim. The hut had everything we needed. Decking needs some work if you've little children please be aware of this. Would highly recommend using this beach hut. Easy to find, easy to book & most importantly, easy to relax.

A great hut, near to toilets and it had everything you needed. One small issue was there was no base to stand the parasol up ( it was a very hot day when we went!). Would definitely book again.

A beautiful hut, lovely quiet location. The instructions of finding the hut were easy and straight forward. We had to amend the date which was very easily done, great value for money!

The stretch of beach from the huts to the pier is dog friendly all year round
The pier is a 5-minute walk away
The nearest place for fish & chips and ice cream is a 3-minute walk away.

The nearest car park is the train station car park on Church Road. CO14 8DH. Turn right out of the car park on to The Parade. Take the next right on to Woodberry Way. Then the next left on to Southcliff, then you’ll be able to see the beach and all the beach huts. There are 2 ways to reach Fruit ‘n’ Hut. Option 1 uses the main staircase, across the promenade, and back up. Option 2 goes behind the huts and down a slope rather than stairs.

Option 1: Go down the main steps towards the promenade. Turn right once at the bottom and walk along the promenade for approximately 300m and you should see beach huts numbered roughly 115-125. Once here, take any set of steps up to the 4th row of huts and you’ll be able to spot the bright purple Fruit ‘n’ Hut – D126.
Option 2: Go past the main staircase and follow the path until the end, then turn left down the slope towards the huts. Turn right on the right hand corner and you’ll be on row D. Follow this path along until you reach the bright purple Fruit ‘n’ Hut – D126.

In addition to this, if any of your party have mobility issues, you can use Southview Drive as a drop-off point. This brings you out at the top off the slope to the beach huts.
