Available for hire! Fruit 'n' hut is fully equipped with everything you need for a day at the beach. Tea, coffee, biscuits, condiments, pots, pans, crockery, deck chairs, indoor seating, swingball, beach toys and more!!! The decking area in front of the hut is a suntrap for the vast majority of the day making it an ideal place to sit back, relax, and watch the day pass by. Convenient parking at the station car park. Toilets and taps nearby.

The beach hut was lovely and had everything we could wish for . I am disabled and did find that the hut was a difficult walk to get to and also to get down to the beach was also very difficult for me due to the amount of steep stairs a slope was available but thus was very steep and hard for me to manage . I would recommend a hut on the front row on the beach front . This hut was wonderful just wish it could of been in the front row 😞

We hired the beach hut for one day at short notice. It was absolutely lovely and our family had a wonderful time. It was four rows back from the promenade so very peaceful with no passing traffic, close to the toilets and the tap. The biscuits, tea and coffee were a lovely touch! We would definitely hire the beach hut again.

Lovely beach hut with great supplies for a good day at the beach! The directions were useful and there was a lock box for the key so coming and going is easy, along with the guidance on the closest place to park. Would recommend this beach hut!

We had a great day at Fruit n Hut. The beach hut was spotless and had everything we could need, including sachets of milk and even biscuits!! In a great position. Was really pleased and will definitely hire it again!

It was an excellent experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our date. Having use of the hut was especially helpful, due to the weather. It was spacious, the service provided was excellent. Highly recommended.

The nearest car park is the train station car park on Church Road. CO14 8DH. Turn right out of the car park on to The Parade. Take the next right on to Woodberry Way. Then the next left on to Southcliff, then you’ll be able to see the beach and all the beach huts. There are 2 ways to reach Fruit ‘n’ Hut. Option 1 uses the main staircase, across the promenade, and back up. Option 2 goes behind the huts and down a slope rather than stairs.

Option 1: Go down the main steps towards the promenade. Turn right once at the bottom and walk along the promenade for approximately 300m and you should see beach huts numbered roughly 115-125. Once here, take any set of steps up to the 4th row of huts and you’ll be able to spot the bright purple Fruit ‘n’ Hut – D126.
Option 2: Go past the main staircase and follow the path until the end, then turn left down the slope towards the huts. Turn right on the right hand corner and you’ll be on row D. Follow this path along until you reach the bright purple Fruit ‘n’ Hut – D126.

In addition to this, if any of your party have mobility issues, you can use Southview Drive as a drop-off point. This brings you out at the top off the slope to the beach huts.
