The beach hut is situated end of terrace first (upper) floor above the main promenade in an ideal location that gives both privacy and unobstructed panoramic views of the sun, beach, sea, and from Bournemouth to the Isle of Wight to Old Harry rocks at Studland.  It has 2 times glazed doors opening onto a private balcony that has metal railings for child and dog safety. It is less than 100 meters from the all-year-round dog beach. Dogs are welcome on all beaches from 1 October to 30 April but must be kept on a lead while on the promenade.

The beach hut offers a small kitchen/storage facility though no electricity. The gas camping stove is provided along with a kettle, pans, plastic plates, cups, and cutlery. A fold-up table and 3 fold-up chairs. Cleaning materials, waste bin, and brush.

Facilities information

There is a cash point machine situated on the outside wall of the Council Beach Office on the promenade. There are plenty of waste bins that are emptied daily. Sporting events are often held during the summer season including Beach Volley Ball and Beach Polo. There is Rick Steins restaurant on the other side of the public car park approximately 100 meters behind the beach hut along with a coffee shop other small shops selling items for the beach.

There is also ferry access to Studland, Poole Town, trips around the harbour and onto Brownsea Island (National Trust).

On-site pay and display council run car parking facilities, along with toilets, showers and restaurant (s). Council beach office less than 100 meters away, RNLI lifeguards during summer season, standpipes for drinking water nearest 30 metres away. All year dog beach 70 meters away. Regular buses from Poole Town Centre that also do the jurassic bus tour and to Bournemouth and Swanage

The beach hut has very short and easy access footpath from the upper end of Sandbanks public carparks

Tip: arrive early in the summer season no later than 8 as although there is a very large council run pay and display with text pay facility car park and on road pay pay parking they all fill up very early and quickly in the summer season with very long queues and waits for later arrivals along with towaway for illegal parking and very frequent 30mph mobile speed camera in operation.
